Galaxy Casino has chosen Brand-Rex to provide datacom solutions for its latest development in Cotai, Macau SAR .

The Galaxy Mega Resort will, on completion, be one of the largest casino and hotel complexes in the Asia Pacific region. Galaxy Casino, a subsidiary of Galaxy Entertainment was granted gaming concession by the Macau Government in 2002 and has since gone from strength to strength.

Opening the Waldo Casino in 2004, Galaxy quickly established three further casinos and the StarWorld Hotel and Casino in Macau SAR. The much anticipated opening of Galaxy Mega Resort in the centre of Asia’s gaming capital in Macau SAR’s Cotai will set new standards in the world of luxury and innovation. Three hotels will operate in the initial stage, housed in two glorious towers with vistas overlooking a lush tropical environment. The gold and white façade of the property are a tribute to South East Asia with a fresh and tropical undertone.

As one of the largest in the world, the casino will have a capacity to accommodate up to 700 gaming tables and 4,000 slot machines in a breathtaking and expansive setting. The mass gaming hall stretches the entire length of the casino at almost 300 metres long with a 15 metre high ceilings. During the first phase of the development, Installer Companhia de Telecomunicações de Macau S.A.R.L. (CTM) will deliver a mix of Brand-Rex Cat6Plus, OM3 Fibre and Blolite to tens of thousand of outlets in the resort. The cabling installation phase is expected to be complete within 2009.
