Brand-Rex cabling solutions have been chosen for a new Audi production facility in Brussels. Installer, Fabricom GDF Suez, through distributor Kannegieter, has installed over 60km of Cat6Plus cabling and 66km of fibre backbone throughout the whole plant. Over 1,200 copper outlets have been installed and 20,000 fibre pigtails spliced.

The facility, which used to be a Volkswagen factory before Audi took it over in 2006, will produce the new Audi A1 as of 2010. Dirk Van de Paer, project leader network &telecom, of Audi Belgium commented, ‘Kannegieter and Fabricom have worked in partnership to deliver our chosen Brand-Rex system on time and within budget’.
