Claire Bell - Customer Services Manager
|
|
Claire initially joined the business in 1998 as a member of the IT department, specialising in Customer focused IT applications, before taking on the role of Customer Services Improvement Manager.
Claire now manages the Global Customer Services team which consists of 17 staff across four geographies – Dubai, Glenrothes, Hong Kong and Milan. With the support of her team, Claire is the Customer’s champion for Brand-Rex, ensuring that customer orders are confirmed and acknowledged in line with customer requirements; complaints are resolved in an efficient and timely manner and enquiries answered. Claire is responsible for developing the Customer Service department to be a proactive team by broadening and improving the service offerings and ultimately improving relationships with our Customer’s.
Since Brand-Rex joined the Institute of Customer Service (ICS) Claire now has two new roles; championing the ICS relationship within Brand-Rex and gaining an accreditation as an ICS Assessor.
Claire has a love of motorbikes, hill walking,- including Munro’s (borrowing her friends dog as an excuse to get out in the fresh air even, when it’s raining!) photography, cooking and socialising.

Audrey O'Brien - Marketing Communications Manager

With over 10 years marketing experience, Audrey joined Brand-Rex in 2006 after 5 years as a Marketing Communications Specialist at Global Biotechnology leader, Invitrogen Corporation. Audrey has a BA in Business & Marketing, specializing in Communications.
Audrey is responsible for the marketing communications department and for leading Brand-Rex marketing efforts to deliver overall planning, alignment, management and measurement of the global marketing communications strategy.
Outside work Audrey enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking and photography.

Alistair Black - Operations Director
|

Alistair has spent most of his career to date working in the manufacturing sector, including 12 years with Japanese parts manufacturer Minebea where he held board level positions in its European and US subsidiaries.
Alistair joined the company at the start of 2010 and is responsible for the company’s structured cabling systems manufacturing operations.

Giorgio Coppola - Financial Accounting Manager
|

Giorgio began his career in finance at Sappi Transcript after working through various departments. After a spell at Sun Microsystems, Giorgio joined Novar as an Information Provision Analyst and became a Brand Rex employee as a result of a TUPE agreement in 2003.
Giorgio became Financial Accounting Manager in May 2007 and manages a team of ten. His main responsibilities are managing daily cash flows and daily financial operations, ensuring fiscal budget measures are met and assisting with internal projects.
Giorgio enjoys listening to music, socialising and camping with his wife and kids.

Grant Coull - Procurement & Planning Manager |
|
Grant previously worked, in Aberdeen, in the oil & gas industry, with Esso & Shell. Grant joined Brand-Rex as a Production Planner in 1991 before being promoted to Planning Team Leader then Planning Manager.
Within his current role, Grant is responsible for ensuring that: the Planning department confirm and schedule customer and stock orders in an efficient and timely manner; that raw material, cable and component stocks are accurate at all times; and for organising and administrating all company stock takes across on-site and off-site warehouse.
Grant likes to spend as much time as possible with his wife and 3 daughters. He also trains several times a week and plays competitive tennis.

Ken Hodge - R&D Manager |
|
Before joining Brand-Rex Ken managed the Cable Design group in the BICC Optical Technology Centre. At the time they were researching Fibre to the Home solutions; for Ken, it’s now good to see this happening across Europe.
In 1995 Ken joined Brand-Rex as Product Engineering Manager. The role has changed and developed as the business has grown.
Currently Ken is involved in design, NPD and new technology, promoting the Company and its products and representing our interests in the international standardisation arena.
Ken is married with 2 children and in his spare time enjoys playing links golf or a game of squash.

Derek Page - Transport and Logistics Manager
|
|
Prior to Joining Brand Rex Derek worked within the Transport sector, providing Distribution and logistics solutions for customers.
Derek joined Brand-Rex in 2008 and within his current role is responsible for the cost and control of all outbound distribution and has budget responsibility for all external warehousing. Derek also supports procurement to ensure cost control of inbound materials and components
Currently Derek is working towards providing a Logistics Strategy in line with our current and future business needs.
Derek enjoys keeping fit, holidays/travelling, and spending time with his family.

Chris Poole - Optical Production Manager
|
|
Chris worked for Corning Cable systems for 12 years prior to joining Brand-Rex as a Design and Development Engineer. Chris then moved on to Optical Cable Design Manager with responsibility for the design and development of the whole optical cable product range.
Chris became Optical Production Manager in 2008 and now has responsibility for the optical cable production facility at Glenrothes.
Chris is married with two children.

Bill Stewart - HR Director |
|
Bill joined Brand-Rex in 2008 after some time as Head of HR at Babcock Marine on the River Clyde at Faslane Naval Base. Previous to that Bill was UK HR Manager for Solectron and held HR roles in Scottish Hydro Electric and British Coal.
Bill is responsible for all aspects of human resources across Brand-Rex. This means addressing all issues relating to the life cycle of an employee, – recruitment, induction, pay and performance, training and development, communication and finally exiting the business.
In his spare time Bill plays the guitar (badly) and plays golf (badly). We are sure he is also modest.

John Wallace - Financial Planning & Reporting Manager |
|
John worked in various Financial and Commercial roles in the Construction and Home Improvement industry sectors following graduation.
He joined Brand-Rex in 2001 as Financial Analyst then spent 18 months as support manager in Customer Services gaining exposure to other parts of business. In his present role, John is responsible for the financial planning and reporting for the business including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting of business performance.
John has many interests outside work including: mountain biking, cycling competitively, supporting Dunfermline football team, attending the Round Table and snowboarding.

Andy Williams - Head of IT

Joining the organization in 1988, Andy worked for BICC in various IT roles starting as a Programmer then moving to IT Support roles and Project Management. When Brand-Rex was bought by BICC Andy joined the Brand-Rex business as a Network Manager originally at Helsby, before moving to Glenrothes in 1998 as Global Infrastructure Controller
Andy now has overall responsibility for all aspects of Information Technology and Telecommunications for Brand-Rex globally.
In his spare time Andy enjoys photography, hill walking, mountain biking and cooking. He has also been known to make strange noises with a guitar.
