Wireless LAN. Defined by IEEE 802.11 to operate up to 2 Mbit/s over 2.4 GHz radio or infra-red; 802.11a to operate up to 54 Mbit/s over 5 GHz radio; 802.11b to operate up to 11 Mbit/s over 2.4 GHz radio
